Scheduled

Beginning Nov. 1, 2026, clocks in most of British Columbia will no longer “fall back” one hour, which may affect calendar events for those based on the Vancouver campus.

Meetings scheduled for Nov. 1 or later may appear at the wrong time, particularly if they were scheduled before calendar systems were updated.

To prepare for the changes on Nov. 1:
• Install the latest updates on personal or unmanaged devices and restart when prompted. Windows users should install the October 2026 update or later.
• Check your time zone settings in Windows and Outlook. They should show (UTC-07:00) Pacific Time (British Columbia). (UTC-07:00) Yukon is also acceptable as a temporary setting.
• If you use a Mac or mobile device, make any required calendar changes in Outlook for Web.
• During the first week of November, double-check the times of important classes, appointments, meetings, and events. If something doesn’t look right, confirm the time with the organizer.

The university has configured enterprise systems, including 25Live and classroom computer systems, as needed. Managed computers should receive the updated time zone automatically, but everyone on the Vancouver campus should confirm that their devices and calendars show the correct time.
